Bathroom inspiration, on your own photos
Bathroom inspiration is usually a spa suite three times the size of yours. This page shows real bathrooms decluttered and dressed in five different styles, then does the same with a photo of yours, in minutes. Drag the slider to see the idea.

OriginalIn this styleWhy moodboards never look like your bathroom
No room dates faster than the bathroom, and none is more disruptive or expensive to renovate. So you save photos, and every one of them is a hotel spa with a freestanding tub and three times your floor space. Next to those, your perfectly serviceable bathroom looks like a demolition job, when most of what you are reacting to is styling, not tiles.
That is exactly what Twelve Lumens shows you. Upload a photo of your bathroom and the AI clears the clutter and dresses the room in the style you pick: textiles, decor, warm light. Your tiles, tub, vanity and plumbing stay exactly as photographed; the AI dresses the room, it does not renovate it. You see what styling alone achieves before you price a renovation, and the original photo is always kept.
One bathroom, five directions
Each example below is a real bathroom, three ways: as it was photographed, decluttered, and dressed in the style. Use the toggle on each image to compare, and open the style guide if one of them clicks.
The Scandinavian bathroom
White and pale wood, waffle-weave towels, a stool or bench and every surface cleared. Scandinavian turns an ordinary bathroom into something quietly spa-like and is the safest first try: it flatters small bathrooms, plain tiles and rushed mornings alike.

The Japandi bathroom
Japandi strips the bathroom back to essentials and warms what remains: dark wood accents, stone tones, a single tray holding only what you actually use. Try it if you want the room to feel still rather than merely clean; even a compact bathroom comes out looking deliberate.

The Mediterranean bathroom
Terracotta tones, woven baskets, linen and a touch of greenery bring warmth into the coldest room of the house. Mediterranean suits bathrooms that catch some sun and homes that already lean warm elsewhere; it is the style to try if yours feels clinical.

The luxury bathroom
Rolled towels, brass and glass accents, layered warm light: the hotel-suite treatment. Luxury is worth previewing even on a modest bathroom: it shows how far textiles and lighting alone can carry the room, and which single upgrade would actually earn its keep.

The industrial bathroom
Black fittings, dark accents and raw textures that suit concrete, exposed pipework or a city view. Industrial is the direction for urban and loft bathrooms, or for any home that already leans dark and graphic in the other rooms.

Four rules for restyling a bathroom
Clear every surface down to two objects
Counter, tub edge, cistern, windowsill: leave at most two objects on each, a soap dispenser and a plant, a candle and a tray. Everything else goes into a drawer or a basket. Nothing makes a bathroom look bigger and better maintained faster.
Keep towels to one or two colors
A stack of mismatched towels reads as laundry; the same towels in one or two colors, folded or rolled hotel-style, read as styling. It is the cheapest upgrade in the whole house, and hotels have been proving it for decades.
Swap cold ceiling light for warm light
One cool ceiling fixture turns any bathroom into a clinic. Warm bulbs, mirror light at face height or even a candle change the mood of the exact same tiles completely, in photos and at seven in the morning.
Add one natural accent
A wooden stool, a bamboo tray or a plant that likes steam, a fern or a bundle of eucalyptus under the shower head. One natural texture is enough to soften all that hard tile; three start to look like a garden center.
Selling? The bathroom photo that says move-in ready
Buyers read the bathroom as a maintenance report: a crowded vanity and a row of half-used bottles say neglected upkeep, whether that is true or not. A clean, dressed bathroom photo says move-in ready, and because few buyers plan to renovate a bathroom right away, it is one of the photos that decide whether the rest of the listing gets a fair look.
Agents and photographers use Twelve Lumens to declutter and stage the entire listing in one click, done in about 10 minutes, with the same house style in every room, disclosure built in and the originals always kept. If you're selling, that is the version of this page you want:
Bathroom styles: common questions
Will the AI change my tiles, tub or vanity?
No. Everything tiled or plumbed stays exactly as photographed: tiles, tub, shower, vanity, toilet and the camera angle are all locked. The AI dresses the room with textiles, decor and light; it does not renovate it. That is also what keeps the preview honest: what you see is your actual bathroom, styled.
Can decluttering alone make a dated bathroom photograph better?
Often yes, and it is the render that surprises people most. Half of what reads as dated in a bathroom photo is clutter, not tiles. Clear the surfaces, match the towels and the same room looks years younger. That is why it pays to render a decluttered-only version first, before you think about styles.
Can I preview styles on my bathroom for free?
Yes. Upload one photo and render it in as many styles as you like; each render takes minutes and your first five images are free, no credit card. You compare real versions of your real bathroom instead of guessing from someone else's spa.
And if I'm selling: is a virtually staged bathroom allowed on listing sites?
Yes, when disclosed. Most portals and MLS rules accept virtually staged photos as long as they are labeled and the property isn't misrepresented, which is also why tiles, tub and vanity must stay untouched. Twelve Lumens keeps your originals and adds clear disclosure to showcase pages.
